About Me
Summer Learning Support with an Experienced Intervention Teacher
As an educator with over 30 years of experience in elementary classrooms, I have dedicated my career to helping students thrive. I began my journey teaching in Indiana, then gained international experience teaching in Japan and Western Australia, as well as online English instruction for Chinese students. I currently serve as an Intervention Teacher for Volusia County Schools and hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum Development, along with multiple reading certifications.
With over three decades in education, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to address learning gaps early. This summer, I am offering supplemental lessons to help students build the skills they need to succeed. I believe that starting these lessons early is key to preventing learning deficits and setting students up for success in the coming year.
Why Summer Learning Matters:
Early Intervention: Gaps in understanding can widen if not addressed early. I can help your child catch up before the school year starts.
Tailored Instruction: Each lesson is personalized to meet your child’s specific needs, whether they need support in reading, math or both
Proven Experience: My background includes both classroom teaching and specialized intervention techniques that make a real difference.
How I Can Help:
If you are unsure about what your child should know or if they’re struggling with certain subjects, I can determine this during our first lesson. I can then create a plan tailored to your child’s unique needs. Together, we can ensure that your child feels confident and prepared for the next school year.
If you are interested in learning more, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help!
